Quote content and local storage
QuoteKit stores business details, customer names and contact details, catalog items, prices, internal costs, private notes, images, quote revisions and generated files in the app’s device storage. These records support quote editing, generation and follow-up. No QuoteKit account is required. We do not automatically send your quote library to our support servers.
Optional iCloud and system backups
When you enable an available iCloud sync feature, the app transfers library records and associated files to your current Apple Account’s private CloudKit database. Apple operates CloudKit and processes cloud storage and synchronization under its policies. Account availability, network access and iCloud quota affect the feature. Turning sync off preserves local and existing cloud copies. Deleting the app or local data does not itself delete cloud records, system backups or recipient copies.
Cloud sync and device backups are separate features. System backups may contain app data according to your settings. Exported complete backups include internal commercial information and are not additionally encrypted by QuoteKit. Store them in a trusted location. Restoring a backup does not restore Apple purchase rights or device notification permissions. Review any iCloud merge before confirming it.
Images, sharing and reminders
Photo access supports images you choose to import or save. You select the recipient or application when sharing images, PDFs or backups. External recipients process those files under their own policies. Customer quote exports omit internal costs and private notes, but complete backups contain them. Inspect files before sharing.
Contact reminders are optional and require notification permission and an explicit per-device reminder setting. Notifications do not show customer names, amounts or private notes. When cloud sync is enabled, Apple push services can notify the app about cloud changes. We do not use notifications for advertising.
Purchases and allowance
Apple processes the one-time non-consumable purchase. QuoteKit reads Apple-verified transaction information to determine entitlement and handle restoration or revocation. We do not receive payment card details. The app keeps quote-use records to calculate the free allowance; these may be included in library backups and optional iCloud sync. Deleting a quote does not necessarily remove its recorded use. Restore Purchases restores purchase entitlement, not deleted quote files.
Feedback and optional diagnostics
Only after you submit feedback does the app send your message, optional contact email, app name, identifier, platform, version and build over HTTPS to feedback.lanternmotive.com. If you enable the optional system-information switch, iOS version, device type and interface language are also included. Device names, unique device identifiers, Apple Account details, quote files, customer records, images and full system logs are not automatically attached.
The shared service uses Tencent Cloud Functions and QQ Mail SMTP to forward messages to our support email service. These providers and email infrastructure process the submission for delivery, support and troubleshooting and may process it across regions. Unsubmitted drafts remain on the device until successfully submitted or discarded. A failed request can be retried manually and may result in duplicate submissions. You may also email support directly. Include only information necessary for your request.
Retention, controls and privacy requests
Device records remain until removed through the app or system controls. Manage iCloud records, exported backups and externally shared copies separately. Support information is retained as needed to respond, troubleshoot and satisfy applicable legal obligations. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied to us. We cannot retrieve records held only on your device.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, optional features use your consent or processing needed to provide the service you request. You may withdraw optional permissions in system settings and contact us about applicable access, correction, deletion or complaint rights. We do not require your complete quote library to handle a support request.
Analytics, security and changes
QuoteKit does not include advertising, advertising identifiers or third-party usage analytics in this version. Apple may process system diagnostics under your device settings. We use system sandboxing, access controls and protected transport, but no system guarantees security in every circumstance. The app is intended for quoting and business use and is not directed at children. We update this policy and date when data practices materially change.
